ZERO TO THREE’s approach to parent education is based on the belief that parents are the true experts on their children, and that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to raising children. The information and tools we offer are designed to support parents in developing their own ways to promote their children’s growth and development

Big Brothers Big Sisters matches children ages 6 through 18 with mentors in professionally supported one-to-one relationships. We have volunteer programs in communities across the country — including yours.

In the first few years, children learn more and at a faster pace than at any other time in life. You help shape your child's future through the kinds of experiences you provide. Your baby was born to learn, and as a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher.

Parents as Teachers is here to help you!

Healthy Families America is a national program model designed to help expectant and new parents get their children off to a healthy start. Families participate voluntarily in the program and receive home visiting and referrals from trained staff. By providing services to overburdened families, Healthy Families America fits into the continuum of services provided to families in many communities.

Family Resource Centers will serve as a place for families to get answers, services and needed support. There are welcome packets for all new families, designed in cooperation with Bloomington Hospital and other initiatives. Home visiting services are available to parents of newborns and infants to provide individualized information and parent education. The Centers publish a newsletter for parents and families of young children, to be mailed on important anniversaries of the child's and family's life. The Centers work with various health, financial or family support service agencies to provide "one-stop shopping" for the families.
