I can hardly wait to receive my FREE,

Thanks Owen County Learning Network

WHAT CAN START OFF SMART DO FOR MY FAMILY?

Resources for Parents

Pamphlets are periodically given to parents to increase parental knowledge of typical child development according to age and to educate parents on appropriate methods of teaching their children various skills for school readiness.

Free Books for Children

Children receive free books when enrolling in Start Off Smart, one mailing of books during the child's birthday month, and at periodic events hosted by the Start Off Smart program.  Parents who take time to teach their children how to read and reading to their children will give them a good start to a successful life.

"I believe that parenthood is a joyful journey and parents should be empowered with knowledge to help prepare their child for a successful start in life."
- Annie Bright

Family Play & Learn Group

Family Play & Learn Group is held monthly beginning in September of each year.  It offers parents the opportunity to interact with other parents of similar concerns.  But, most importantly, children choose among various learning activities.  Skills learned can range from painting to using scissors properly to playing with other children.

Please check the monthly newsletter for dates, times, and location of Group activities or click on "take me to dates, times, and location of Play & Learn Group."
